Open Promise and confirm that the promise is enabled and scheduled for the correct time and days. In iPhone Settings, make sure Promise has Alarm access and any requested notification permission. Keep the app installed, confirm the recording still exists, check that your device has sufficient battery, and test a promise a few minutes ahead. For anything important, always keep a backup alarm.
Promise uses Apple’s alarm system to schedule dependable wake-up alerts that can sound at the time you choose. Without alarm permission, the app cannot activate a promise. You can review or change access in iPhone Settings.
Microphone access is requested only when you tap record. If it was declined, open iPhone Settings, find Promise, and enable Microphone. Then return to Promise and try again. Make sure no other app is actively using the microphone.
Your recordings are stored locally on your device. Promise does not upload them to a server or associate them with an account. Removing the app or clearing its data may permanently remove your recordings.
Yes. When setting a promise, choose “Voice only” to begin with your recording. You can also choose “Rising alarm, then voice” for a short escalating alarm before your message.
Select the days you want when editing a promise. Leaving all days unselected creates a one-time promise. You can turn a saved promise on or off from the home screen without deleting it.
Wake-up check is optional. After you stop an alarm, Promise asks you to open the app and type a short phrase. If you do not confirm within two minutes, the alarm is scheduled to ring again. You can change this in Preferences.
Open Recordings from the app menu to listen, rename, replace, or delete saved recordings. A recording that is currently used by a promise must be unlinked from that promise before it can be deleted.
Yes. Promise supports English and Arabic, including right-to-left layout, plus light, dark, and system appearance options. You can change both in Preferences.
Email islamalsaadawy12@gmail.com. Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, Promise version, and a short description of what happened. Do not attach a private voice recording unless you intentionally want us to hear it.
Delete promises and recordings inside the app. Uninstalling Promise removes its locally stored app data, subject to device and backup behavior controlled by Apple. Promise has no user account or cloud profile to delete.
Tell us what happened and we’ll help you get your next morning back on track.
